Noola Redclaw

Noola Redclaw stands at the forefront of aqua-tech innovation, specialising in the expansion of redclaw crayfish production. Leveraging advanced breeding and hatchery technologies, Noola Redclaw is dedicated to improving the survivability of juvenile crayfish, thereby providing open pond producers with access to top-tier seeds. With the successful conclusion of its inaugural breeding program cycle in January 2024, Noola Redclaw is poised to export high-growth breeders to meet growing demand.

Founded in February 2021, Noola Redclaw embarked on its journey through a fruitful six-month collaboration with the Dorset Council and the Dorset Coast Forum. The council played a pivotal role in providing invaluable insights into identifying suitable land space and facilitating introductions to key stakeholders in the region.

In September 2023, NoolaTech – in collaboration with the UK Department for Business and Trade – forged strong partnerships in Indonesia, culminating in the establishment of a subsidiary. Proudly named NoolaRed - Indonesia, this venture offers chefs access to the finest freshwater redclaw crayfish, renowned for their consistent large sizes and premium quality.

Recognised and embraced under the Global Entrepreneur Program by the Department for International Trade, Noola Redclaw continues to thrive through ongoing collaboration, establishing and building overseas connections with suppliers and customers. Its Dorset base is further fortified by a network of consultants supported by Innovate UK Edge, securing grants exceeding £170,000. This substantial support has significantly mitigated commercial risks, enabling the development of pivotal partnerships to advance Noola Redclaw’s vision.
