Kingston Maurward College, nestled in the picturesque heart of Dorset just outside the county town of Dorchester, boasts a stunning 750-acre farm and parkland estate. This idyllic setting serves as the backdrop for specialised education tailored to meet the needs of land-based and allied industries across the South West region. 

Experiencing continued growth in recent years, the college offers a diverse range of full-time, degree-level, and short courses aimed at empowering both young individuals and adult learners to pursue and advance their careers. Emphasising practical application, each course encourages participants to enhance their knowledge and skills through hands-on experiences, industry-led visits, work placements, and enrichment activities. 

With a wide array of course areas available, spanning Agriculture, Animal Welfare & Science, Business Studies, Construction, Military Preparation, Welding, and Fabrication, among others, students can pursue Diplomas, T-Level qualifications, or the newly introduced Higher Technical Qualifications. This comprehensive approach encourages independence and equips students with the qualifications necessary for seamless transitions into either industry careers or higher education pathways. 

The college boasts state-of-the-art facilities catering to all levels of education, including the impressive £1.2-million Agri-tech Centre, the £3-million Animal Sciences facility housing a diverse range of over 100 animals, and the recently established University Centre Kingston Maurward offering Higher Education courses. 

Amidst the scenic landscape lie 35 acres of Grade II listed beautifully restored gardens, a working farm featuring milking facilities for 150 dairy cattle, farm buildings for spring lambing, and machinery enabling students to immerse themselves in hands-on experiences essential for the industry.
